Magnetic Resonance Imaging system, AIRIS II, is a high performance, premium open MR scanner. AIRIS II combines a 0.3 Tesla field strength and advanced permanent magnet technology for outstanding image quality. It has an award-winning open gantry design that provides easy access from all four sides and offers the patient a comfortable environment. AIRIS II has an extremely fast and powerful 15 mT/m gradient system for enhancing day-to-day clinical performance and for specialized, emerging technologies. Its digital RF system, both the 4-channel quadrature transmitter and the Dual QUAD receiver, provides high sensitivity and maximum anatomical coverage. AIRIS II has the extended throughput of a RISC-based, 64-bit UNIX platform workstation and an easy-to-use OpenWindows-based graphical user interface. The system is extremely cost-effective and easy to site in as little as 375 sq.ft.
